'We partied too much' Xmas Detox Smoothie

If you've all overindulged in Xmas party food & merry-making, serve these detox smoothie up to guests to help detox the liver & soothe the gut (so you can get straight back to partying for New Years!)

Ingredients

Green: 1 cup pineapple 1/2 tsp turmeric powder or a fresh knob 1-2 tsp Greens Plus Aloe 1/2 cup of coconut water 1 cup ice Red: 1 medium beetroot 500g strawberries (can use frozen raspberries) 1/2 cup of coconut water small knob of ginger 1 cup of ice

Method

Make one colour, transfer it into a jug, then rinse blender & do the other colour. These can be served in shot glasses, or champagne glasses - not huge glasses as you only want a smallish serve, so as not to stir up the liver too much. Encourage guests to try both red & green for their different properties - they will be perked up in no time!
