Why activate the Seeds?

We always recommend activation / soaking as it stimulates the germination process inside some of the seeds, which causes the activation of enzymes (the previously dormant seed becomes metabolically active again as it begins to ‘digest’ it’s own stored proteins & starches in preparation for early growth). When we soak seeds overnight they become much more nutritious, easier for us to digest & we get the benefits of the enzymes as well. Also, as some of the seeds are quite thirsty, if you don’t pre-soak them in water they will absorb fluid from you (can block some people up when eaten dry)!
